A new challenge is the recultivation of the open-cast mining areas. One example is the development of a maritime location for leisure time activities and relaxation at the lake Schladitz in the north of Leipzig. A big landscape area is planned for visitors and operators in an intelligent, harmonious concept which integrates topography and nature. The plan gives visitors different offers. Different leisure and relaxation opportunities like water sports, wellness, sauna, bistros and restaurants, are planned in cooperation with the operator "All on-Sea". The planned project takes into consideration on the fauna and flora which develops in the new area.
